Regulations for participation

  1. Participants will have to report at least 20 minutes prior to the scheduled performance time/s as per attached document.
  2. Participants must be accompanied by either a parent/s and or guardian/s, as Allegretto Inter Provincial Eisteddfod or any of the Committee members, or any member involved in organizing the eisteddfod will not take any responsibility for safety of participants, or injuries, or any other related matter (incident) in this regard.
  3. Participants will have to register in the foyer for each and every entered item. Pro forma should be completed in full to enable and ensure a fair eisteddfod.
  4. Participants should be at best behaviour at all times and no refreshments from outside will be allowed inside the auditorium. This includes bottled water. We have a Tuck Shop. Please support our Tuck Shop.
  5. Participants selected to take part on a next level will have to register and enter again for the level to ensure participation.
  6. Participants have to compete within the given participation schedules. No one will be allowed to render items before or later than the given day and time for that specific item. Special Requests with regard participation should be in writing and send via e mail to ceo.allegrettogauteng@outlook.com
  7. Out of Section performances will be allowed with a valid motivation. A Doctor’s note must be submitted as well.
  8. Non-Attendance or absence will have No Award as an effect.
  9. Participants should have respect for one another as well as appreciation.
  10. Participants should be loyal and respectful towards representatives of Allegretto Inter Provincial Eisteddfod as well as any representatives from our hosting venues.
  11. Participants are more than welcome to wear either school uniform or appropriate clothes/costume for solo as well as group performances on stage.
  12. Participants are responsible for any valuables brought to the eisteddfod. Allegretto take no responsibility for any losses or damages during the eisteddfod whatsoever.
  13. Participants are not allowed to make use of mobile phones while engaged in any eisteddfod performance. Mobile phones may be used during our “paparazzi” moments.
  14. Allegretto IPE is not responsible for any injuries on or off stage or the safety of any participant during an Eisteddfod process. It is of utmost importance for parents and guardians to be present and supportive.

Regulations for spectators

  1. Spectators will have to pay a daily Door Fee of R50 pp at Regional, R100 pp at Allegretto IPE Showcase (Inter Provincial) Level and R120 pp for Allegretto IPE National Gala Events. Box Office money assist the Eisteddfod with costs.
  2. Ticket Money is not refundable.
  3. Spectators are not allowed to take any refreshments from outside into the Eisteddfod Centre. We have a Tuck Shop. Please support our Tuck Shop.
  4.  Spectators should encourage participants and also have appreciation for all performances rendered.

Participation Details

  1. Participants will have to respect the time limits as per attached schedule.
  2. Please familiarize yourselves with the genres prescribed in the syllabus.
  3. Please be prepared and on time. Participants entering for the Visual Literacy Section must submit the Visual Literacy Evaluation Pro Forma with each entered item.
  4. Participants entering for the Visual Literacy Section must be present on the day of the various Prize Givings in order to receive their certificates and collect their entered works.
  5. Participants without parents or guardians will unfortunately and regretfully not be taken into consideration for invitations to a next level of participation.
  6. Out of section performances will be charged at an additional R65 per item at the door. You will have to arrange this with the appropriate section coordinator.
  7. Entry fees as well as tickets purchased for any Allegretto Eisteddfod event is non-refundable.

General Terms and Conditions

The CEO and/or Administrator have the right to:

  1.  Ensure a proper and fair Eisteddfod for all.
  2.  Reschedule performance times, venues and dates if needed.
  3.  Overrule an Adjudication process if unfair.
  4.  Disqualify a participant if not adhered to prescription as per syllabus.
  5.  Remain to the Right of Participation.
